Nicole Wine Restaurant Cellar is an extension of The Cave, a family run business, and a premier food and wine destination in Ventura, CA. Originally founded as an expertise-driven wine shop -- The Ventura Wine Company -- by Nick Fisher in 2001. The business has grown over time to include so much more, expanding in 2008 by opening a restaurant and wine bar within the same building known as The Cave. The steady, year-over-year expansion of our business has been driven by a loyal and growing following of customers, who trust our passion and expertise in all things wine and food. Out of this same passionate spirit of recommendation, a gifting service began. Frequently these orders are placed by people outside of Ventura County, so naturally it was time to set up a convenient way for customers to enjoy the value and gourmet experience of the The Cave, without having to go to Ventura.

Our staff have helped customers select wines to please all palates, and frequently offered up food pairing suggestions to go along with the wines. Many customers have become accustomed to purchasing “Eric’s Gem” wines without hesitation, and it is these wines that form the foundation of our monthly club Box.
